on and on and on

How sad right? Ok let me explain, Blake it now 2 years old, we think its time he starts getting punished for being mean. Especially for hitting and being mean to Toby, my yorkie. This is his first Time out. 2 minutes. (Doesnt he look so darn cute.) He stays up so straight and sticks his nose in there. He does so good with it too. It really hurts his feelings and he gets this huge puppy dog look on his face, but he stays in there until he is told to come here. I dont like being the bad guy but this moms no push-over and I truly believe its necessary for him to be a respectful and behaved child. I want him to say Please and Thank you and to do whats right the first time, whether moms around or not. He also goes to his bed, in his room and goes to sleep. I am truly blessed when it comes to my son. Now if I could only figure out how to make him eat. Thats not getting any better, actually I think its worse now bc of the heat. Today, the child ate 2 french fries and a pack of fruit snacks. Thats it. Of course he drank milk, juice throughout the day and I give him a bottle of Pedisure for nutrients at night but I would like him to eat. I'm open to suggestions, if you have any!

Have you seen Lisa's blog? Here! She tells some of the most descriptive and totally relateable stories in blog land. I love reading her posts. She is turning 29 (again :} ) this month and is celebrating with a HUGE, it took 3 pics, RAK for some super lucky blog reader. Go visit her and leave a comment for a chance to win.

I finished week 2 and 3 from the Use your supplies Challenge. Stamping and stickers. You know most of us, start out using stickers, go buy a ton of them and end up never using them. I challenge you to go find that drawer, pull them out and use one on your next project. If you know your over that stage, then Be green and pass them along to another deserving scrapper or child. Children love stickers after all. I started cleaning out my old supplies and gave my MIL a pizza box full. She is starting to get into scrapping now. Yay. I really want someone to go to crops at the LSS with. The first page I am sharing is for my friend Lydia. She has the most adorable little guy. The Jenni Bowling papers worked perfectly with his GQ duds. I love the JB stuff, but find it hard to use except for the elegant photos. The second page was made with all scraps from various lines, and some of those old half used sticker sheets. Its a simple page, but I like it. Notice the Heidi Swapp clock stamp, and the Heidi bird, I finally used it.

Blake and I have been spending alot of time outside this week. We go on walks, mow the grass with the bubble mower (one of his fave toys) run, jump, swing, laugh, go visit Pappy, and of course take pictures. On Thursday we had a few errands to run. After returning home, we took a stroll around the yard before coming inside, as it was starting to get late. I ask Josh to fetch my camera and take a pic of us as we were having a nice day. With trying to get Blakes attention and the lovely sunlight here is the results. Dont we look so pretty here.

Ok so I guess I should show you the horrid out take and make a mental note to stay behind the camera from now on. Or at least be ready at all times. Hey at least Blake still looks cute. He is so photogentic, while I am not.

I think the pictures of you and your son are great. I'm normally the one behind the camera taking the pictures, so I am not in alot of shots, and when I am I hate them. Glad I could give you a litle pick me up this week with it.

That was such a cute picture of Blake in the corner and I would like to congratulate you on taking the time and making the effort to instill those basic concepts of right and wrong and polite manners. It does take a lot effort on parents parts and sadly many parents today just think it's easier to "bribe" children into the correct behavior - but the only think that teaches them is if they do something wrong they get rewarded.

Have you tired the animal game to get Blake to eat. You need cookie cutters in animal shapes and you cut animal shaped into toast, p&b sandwiches, thin sliced apple, carrots etc. And then you make up a game - for example you might cut out some farm animals and say Mr Farmer is coming to get the animals to put them in the barn but the animals don't want to go in the barn and they want to hide - can you find the duck and hide him in your tummy. Munch munch mom and the duck is gone.....next animal. It is really cool to if you sit down with Blake and help him draw a barn and a farmer, some trees etc and then pull out the animal food as a surprise and just suddenly say - lets play a game. Lots of laughing and you can nibble of a animal or two as well.

Love love how you did the Adorable page, the red, cream and black are just perfect and that bird is so cute - great job on that page and the patchwork one too.

Thanks for the kind comment on my blog! Your son is adorable! I think you are doing exactly the right thing with the timeouts! Stand your ground. It will pay off! :) Re; the food thing, he'll eat when he's hungry. ALL of my kids did the same thing at his age and none of them shriveled away from malnutrition (which I always thought might happen). lol Good luck!

Awww...thanks Cathy! Your award made my day. I've been kind of in a funk too. Love the pics of you and Blake. He is soooo cute. My son was a terrible eater too. He is just starting to try all sorts of things and he is 9! I'm sure Blake will come around. Hope you have a good week.

Hey girl! Lots to say today! First and most importantly, are you out of your funk? It must be in the air...this past week was brutal. And I've spent the bigger part of the weekend on the verge of tears. Worst part, I Don't. Know. Why! If things don't get better, let's just agree to meet somewhere and have one of those late night nosh sessions. Everything always seems better after a good pantry raid!

Secondly, I love your new profile pic!. It is new, right? I came to your site by way of your profile this time and I thought I had the wrong Cathy for a minute. Loved the last pic, but this one is so sweet!

Now, I just have to say, I could not stop laughing when I saw Blake's picture. Everyone in the house had to stop by to see what had me giggling. Please never, ever tell him some crazy lady had a good giggle over his unfortunate circumstance, but it is such an adorable photo. Makes me want to just squeeze him to death! Before I even read what you wrote, I could picture exactly what you had to say. His stance proves how seriously he takes his punishment. My heart is melting! Can I borrow him for a while? I think he would most certainly pull me out of my slump!

Let's see, you wanted to know about the pink paper. It is American Crafts Moda collection. It would be one of the ones I have actually cut, but the majority of it is left for the giveaway. I love that paper too!

I finally want to thank you for always stopping by and leaving such awesome comments. I am so thankful to call you one of my bestest (yes, it is a word) cyber friends.

Now go do something that makes you smile and get out of that funk! LOVE YA!
