My creative Sketches

This time I'm playing along with My Creative Sketch. I really love the huge flower, and the what I consider, classic feel of the sketch. I have a few larger flowers left and wanted to use those. I mirrored the design and changed the banner to use up some felt flourishes in my stash.  I dug deep in my mixed pattern paper bin and found these old old Basic Grey Ambrosia papers. I think they were 2008 or maybe 2009.  I kept the busy background feel, and the general layout of the papers.  I did eliminate the two strips down the center in exchange for two pretty black butterflies to fill the top space. I used my Silhouette to cut the butterflies. Silhouette Store  Design ID #2647.    This is my smallest little B when he still had the baby curls on his head.  Oh how times flies, when they are little.

Deadline May 14, 2013

I am so glad to finally have some new stuff to post. Even more so to finally get around to using some of those papers I just had to have.  Yet once they got home, I couldn't for the life of me cut them, because they were to pretty, or I just didn't know how to use them, therefore I never cut into not wanting to mess them up.  Do tell me I'm not the only one who does that!!! Im making process now.

Finally a Layout

Since I've been out of the scrappy world for so long now,  I 'm finding myself stuck often. So I was off reading random blogs, when I came across Frosted Designs.  They prompted us to use a sketch and doilies.

Deadline May 9, 2013 to play

The doilies caught my eye and I decided to play along.  I'm trying to use old papers and products.  If I start buying new products these will get pushed aside.  The papers are from Amy Tangerine Sketchbook collection. I cut the doilies with the cameo, using a free file I found HERE. The photos are from Easter 2011.  Yes, B had blue hair, but it was only the spray in stuff. I like to make the holidays special.   Here is my interpretation of the sketch.

Its hard to believe my first born is already 6 years old.  This past Saturday, we had a race car theme party here at the house.  He was so excited and loved having the day about him. He loved all his gifts and especially the Wii U we got him.

I.N.K.

My son's Kindergarten class, went on their very first field trip.  We visited a place called I.N.K.  Ink stands for Interactive Neighborhood for Kids.  Basically its like a little city inside a building where children pretend to work in rolls you would find a city.  Veterinarian, doctor, pilot, lemonade stand, musician, actor, cashier, hair dresser and postal worker were among some of the activities they could work,ok play in. Blake had a blast and wants to visit the place again.   He was really interested in the medical portion of the trip.  I would love for him to enter the medical field, as I always wanted to be a nurse.
